«The“ Form 1 Group ”was the son of regained freedom. His was a revolution in the context of European abstractionism, elaborating new expressive grammars that took into account the new social and historical conditions after the war chaos, and in Cubism he had found his roots. Each member of the Group applied in full consciousness to the abstract / concrete purity of the painted form and of the atonal (though not for all) color. Unlike Dorazio, Consagra, Turcato and all the others, Perilli studied and created solid, geometric bodies, following a definable psychological automatism. His construct, spelled out by hand, mark after mark, still favors his pictorial instinct today. "
